How Much Does IAmTheAgent Cost?
So, let’s clear up the pricing. Yes, there is an option to pay just £199 Inc VAT to sell your home. But, it’s unlikely it will actually give you what you need. In fact, it pretty much what you’d call a ‘self-service’ option so you’ll be doing most of the work yourself.
If you want a service closer to what you’d get from a traditional high street agent, you’re going to need either the £549 ‘IATA essential’ package or the £849 ‘Whole Shebang’ package. You can save 5% off any of these packages with code ‘propertyroad19’.
Which Online Estate Agency Is Right For You?
Answer 5 simple questions to get a personalised recommendation:
Here is what both of these packages have in common:
- Listings on Rightmove, Zoopla, and more
- Dedicated account manager
- ‘For Sale’ board and either property photos or an EPC
- Buyer vetting and a comprehensive valuation
So, both packages give you all the basic things you would expect from a decent online estate agent. However, how do the £549 and £849 packages differ? What exactly do you get for the extra money?
It’s actually not that clear on the website as there is no easy way to compare packages side by side. However, the key differences appear to be that with the more expensive package you get some hosted viewings included along with some extra support and documentation.
Which is best for you will depend on what exactly you need. The £849 is a little closer to the service you’d get from a high street agent (but without the hefty price tag!). However, for most people the £549 package will probably suffice, unless you’re unable to do your viewings – in which case go for the £849 package.

IAmTheAgent Add-Ons:
Our IAmTheAgent review has found that there are several optional extras available if you want to upgrade your chosen package. Here’s what’s available:
- Energy Performance Certificate (£120)
- 1-Hour Hosted Viewing Block (£130)
- Photos and 2D Floorplan (£149)
- ‘For Sale’ Board (£29)
Be sure to check each package carefully as some of these optional extras are included in the more expensive packages.
The hosted viewings is an interesting one. At £130 for a 1-hour block it may soon get quite expensive if you’re unable to do many of your viewings. It certainly appears expensive compared to several other online estate agents who offer the service.
Keep in mind that the prices listed above were correct at the time of writing but may have changed since we published this review.
Also, before you add on the EPC make sure you check the EPC Register. The certificates are valid for 10 years so you may not need a new one if the property has been issued one in the last decade.

So, Is IAmTheAgent Any Good?
Put simply, yes, our IAmTheAgent review has found that despite the relatively low prices, this is a surprisingly good online estate agent. For just £549 you get most of the things you’ll probably need to sell your home. For a little bit extra you can upgrade and get a very similar service to a high street agent.
Added to that, there is a 24/7 enquiry line for those that may be interested in your property. That means potential buyers should find it easy and convenient to request information, a really positive thing when it comes to finding a buyer.
The ratings of IAmTheAgent on independent customer review sites is also very impressive, though it should be noted that some of these are for their lettings service rather than their sales service.
All in all then, they are a reasonable choice as an estate agent if you don’t mind paying an upfront fee.

Negatives Of IAmTheAgent:
Though IAmTheAgent are, on the whole, a very solid estate agent, there are still a few things to be aware of.
For instance, all of their packages are payable upfront, there isn’t an option of ‘no sale, no fee’ so there will be a risk that if you don’t find a buyer, or your circumstances change, you’ll be out of pocket.
Additionally, while they operate a 24/7 line for those enquiring about properties for sale, as a seller you’ll only get support Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm. That means if you work office hours you may struggle to find time to speak to the team.
That also means their client support opening hours are less than many high street agents who may open on a weekend. On the plus side, they do offer phone, email and live chat support which redeems them slightly.
One final thing worth noting, the IAmTheAgent website is a little confusing at times. They seem to have tried to merge selling and letting a little too much which can leave you a little lost. They also have advertising banners for other companies which distract you from finding the information you need.
IAmTheAgent Review – Summary:
So, as we reach the end of our IAmTheAgent review, you’re probably already forming an opinion as to whether these are the right agents for you or not.
If you want to save some cash then they do offer an overall service that’s pretty good. The cheapest package is unlikely to suit most people but the £549 and even the £849 packages are certainly worth a look.
There are plenty of positive reviews from customers on review sites too. That means even though they may be a relatively unknown agent, it appears they are fairly trustworthy.
The fact they don’t offer a ‘pay on completion’ option and their client support hours are limited are slight negatives, as are the high costs of their hosted viewings. However, overall if you’re happy to do most of the viewings yourself, IAmTheAgent definitely represents a reasonable option.
