Editor & Founder – Paul James
Paul James is a marketing expert with a passion for property. As well as being a property investor, Paul has also worked within the marketing departments of some of the UK’s leading estate agents. Paul created Property Road to ensure consumers are better educated as the industry moves into the modern era.
Paul bought his first house shortly after the 2007-2008 financial crisis that hit the UK. The timing of the purchase enabled him to buy it significantly below the asking price.
When he eventually came to sell that home, he was able to make a tidy profit that allowed a much bigger deposit on the next home, and therefore a purchase of a higher value house.
Several house moves later and Paul was able to afford his dream of living in a large rural property, which was bought when the market was at peak demand following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Throughout his experience he has undertaken countless renovations and DIY tasks that all come through in the content published on Property Road.
His marketing experience, with a particular interest in methods of persuasion, enables him to fully understand what makes people ‘tick’ when it comes to property. His experience working inside estate agents has given him a unique insight that often comes through in the articles he writes.
Further to this, he has invested in several properties and understands both the buy-to-let and buy-to-sell markets.
In addition to writing articles for Property Road, Paul is also the main fact-checker of all content published on the site.
