Haart Reviews

Haart Reviews
They claim to be the ‘UK’s largest independent lettings and estate agent’ and have offices across the country. But, are they good enough to sell YOUR home? Find out as we uncover the truth about Haart reviews…

At A Glance:

While Haart do have branches spread across a large part of England, they are predominantly focused around London and the Midlands.

In fact, if you live further north than Doncaster, you won’t find a Haart office near you. Likewise, the west of England isn’t particularly well covered if you’re further north than Birmingham.

So, while they may well be the ‘largest independent agency’ in the UK, that doesn’t automatically mean there will be a branch on your doorstep.

Here’s how Haart estate agency perform in the most important areas:
  • Offer both sales & lettings
  • Wide range of services
  • Competitively priced fees
  • Reasonably good customer reviews
  • Properties listed on all the major portals

So, despite not quite covering the entire country, there are still plenty of good reasons why you may choose Haart to sell your property. In fact, their lettings service appears fairly well recommended by customers too.

Best-Rated Haart Branches

Best-Rated Estate Agent Branches

When checking out the reviews of Haart estate agency, you should keep in mind that many of those that you ready will be from tenants and landlords. Therefore, if you’re selling they may not be that relevant.

That shouldn’t be too much of a big thing though. After all, it’s always useful to know how they treat everyone who comes in to contact with them – not just sellers.

By looking at the various available Haart reviews, the following branches appear to be the best-rated ones:

  • Ashford
  • Basildon
  • Bury St Edmunds
  • Chelmsford
  • Earlsfield
  • Exeter
  • Fleet
  • Grayshott
  • Petersfield
  • Plymouth
  • Ruislip
  • Rushden
  • Sheerness
  • Streatham
  • Worcester Park

If your local office is listed above, you’re in luck. That means there are multiple 5-star reviews for your branch of Haart and very few negative reviews. There are, therefore, amongst the best-performing agents.

Worst-Rated Haart Branches

Worst-Rated Estate Agent Branches

As with anything, there are good estate agents and bad ones. Just because they are trading under the Haart name doesn’t mean you’ll get an equal level of service everywhere. Here are the worst-performing Haart branches:

  • Cambridge
  • Colchester
  • Colindale
  • Earley
  • Leicester
  • Loughborough
  • Norwich
  • Willesden Green

Each of the branches mentioned above have multiple 1-star ratings and very few, if any, positive ones. That makes us reasonably confident in saying that these are the Haart branches probably best left alone.

Remember, these are the worst-rated agents. If your local office isn’t listed above then it may simply be because there aren’t enough reviews available to place them there. Absence from the list doesn’t automatically mean the branch offers a good service.

Haart Estate Agency – A Short History

Haart is an estate agent that is part of the larger Spicerhaart Group. The parent company initially formed in 1989 when father and son Alick and Paul Smith opened three branches of Spicer McColl in East Anglia.

Since then they have acquired several other estate agent brands and can also count several financial companies under their ownership. These include Spicerhaart Financial Services, Just Mortgages, and Valunation.

Haart’s parent company is also known for being locked in a legal battle with Tesco. This arose after Tesco tried to enter the UK property market with its iSold brand but were forced to sell by regulators. Tesco now claim Spicerhaart have broken the terms of the deal.

That’s about all there is to know about Haart. They are a relatively controversy-free agent compared to some of their competitors and so you’ll be hard-pushed to find much around about them as a company.

Haart Reviews – Our Verdict

While there are plenty of Haart reviews available, many do relate to the lettings side of their business. How much a 5-star review is worth to you as a seller when it’s from a tenant who is pleased that Haart managed to find them a place to live is up for debate.

However, it would be a little unfair to dismiss their good reviews as it is a reflection on them overall as a company. Plus, even if you take away their lettings reviews, there are still enough good reviews from sellers to make you seriously consider Haart as an option.

They certainly don’t appear to be rated any worse than the other leading estate agency chains in the UK. So then it just comes down to how good your local office is.

Some local branches have really good ratings, some have pretty poor ones. You’d therefore be well-advised to do your research and find out what people are saying about the office who would actually be trusted to sell your home.
